PWA Server Settings " Page not found" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am given a task to do a Project Server 2010 POC.  I am a SharePoint guy, not a Prject server expert but anyways....... my env looks like this.

    ENV: 1 SP2010 SP1 WFE/APP
    1 DB SQL Server 2008 R2

I have followed the following Technet articles line by line.

Everything works fine uptil now. When I goto PWA site after creating it the "Server Settings" link does not work. It gives 404 error. I have gone through the whole exercise twice but still same outcome. All other links on the PWA site works fine. None of the admin pages load.

Can anyone point out where am I going wrong?

  • After installing Project Server did you execute SharePoint Configuration wizard?

Did you install Project Server SP1?

    Try resetting IIS as well

  • Thanks Hrishi for your response. I figured out the issue. The problem was with IIS, not with the SharePoint/Project.

I set up a "Failed Request Trcing rule" in IIS which lead me to "Request Filtering". When I explored a bit further I found out that the PWA Server settings (admin.aspx) page was in the list of hidden segements. As soon I took it out from this list the admin pages on PWA started working.
