  • Question

  • Hi,

I am getting the following error while viewing a page from PAS

"This page is not available now. Please choose another page.

It is based on a member that has changed or is unavailable.

The details of this condition have been recorded for the web site administrator. If you need immediate assistance, contact the web site administrator to help resolve this issue."

Please tell me what is the reason for this?

    Regards,
    Rohit

  • Hi Rohit,

The typical causes for this message include:

    - Cube security. A user may not have access to a particular member set within a cube or a briefing book with pages from multiple cubes. Check for cube role overlap.
    - Version differences. Someone may have published a book using a more recent version of the Professional to a previous PAS version.

    Thanks,

  • In addition to the items Bob has mentioned, there is also the possiblity that an item in the cube really has changed or been removed.  As a cube admin user, try opening the same view in the Professional client and see if you get the Missing Data Wizard.  If not, then it's probably something like cube security, as Bob mentioned.  But, if someone with complete access to the cube gets the Missing Data Wizard, then something has changed in the cube that also needs to be changed in the book(s) so the metadata matches between the book and cube.

  • Thanks for the quick replies.

There was a change in the cube that was making me see that error. But its not good to see this error everytime there is a change in the cube? when the report views are on the production environment. any change to the cube will result in this error.
