  • Client Push by server doesn't take much long time. If the network bandwidth is sufficient, client will download the content in couple of minutes and installation will complete in 2/3 minutes. Most important part is downloading content. After successful download of the client software, installation part doesn't take long time.

  • Dear Sir,

When the push is initialed, it will try to connect the client instantly. The client firstly download the SCCM client (about 88MB ) to local (eg. C:\Windows\ccmsetup) and then install. The downloading part takes minutes depending on network condition. The installation part takes about 4~5 minutes.

To make sure the push smoothly, make sure

    1. Windows firewall settings allow traffic from site server.
    2. Target clients belongs to a boundary which will be assigned to a site automatically

Also, you can enable auto client push which will push client to newly discovered systems. (not recommend)

We can check from console to see if a push successful or not for a system. ccmsetup.log used for trouble shooting when an installation failed.

  • If You push client to single computer, then it tries to connect instantly. If connection succeds (push account has enough permissions and there is no firewall blocking traffic in between), then installation takes about 3-5 minutes.
