64 bit OS with Solid State Drive RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a 64 bit Windows image here at work that works fine on a standard hard drive. When we try and install it on a Solid State Drive, we receive several errors. The errors are as follows:

FAILURE (7706): ERROR! Drive V: was not found!

Lifetouch Deployment failed. Return Code = -2147467259 0x80004005

Failed to save environment to (80070057)

Failed to run the action: Format and Partition Disk.

Unknown Error (Error: 00001E1A: Source: Unknown)

The execution of the group (Preinstall) has failed and the execution has been aborted.  An action failed.

Operation aborted (Error: 80004004: Source: Windows)

Failed to run the last action: Format and Partition Disk. Execution of task sequence failed.

Unknown error (Error: 00001E1A: Source: Unknown)

Task Sequence Engine failed! Code: enExecutionFail

Task sequence execution failed with error code 80004005

Error Task Sequence Manager failed to execute task sequence. Code 0x80004005

Any ideas on where to start in fixing these issues?

  • Are you sure that the solid state drive is compatible with your system? Can you see the drive listed in the BIOS?
