  • Query About SCR Database and Log Path

    I have a SG created as a source as below now i wanted to use Enable-StorageGroupCopy for SCR so before that i need to create the SAME PATH at the DR Servers before using the cmdlet or while running the cmdlet this will create the paths automatically.

    CMDLET which i will use to enable the log shipping

    Enable-StorageGroupCopy -Identity CMS\SG1 -StandbyMachine Server2

    For DATABASE

    I:\Microsoft Exchange\DRTESTDB

    For Logs

    T:\Microsoft Exchange\\DRTESTDB

    Thanks

  • As I said in the other thread on this question that you opened, if you are concerned that the directories might not be automatically created, you can manually create them ahead of time.  Do you have troubles creating these directories?

    Will Martin ...
    -join ('77696c6c406d617274696e2d66616d696c6965732e6f7267' -split '(?<=\G.{2})' | ? { $_ } | % { [char][int]"0x$_" })

  • NO issues as just thinking as as we have a setup where on one drive there are two Storage group directories are configured and the same as for logs also. and this is a production so more cautious. sorry for asking lots of stupid questions :-(.
