fail on resume from sleep mode - windows 7 home premium x64 RRS feed

  • Question

  • hei guys, 3 months ago i bought a laptop with bundled win 7 home premium x86 on it.

It's MSi GX633 with the spec:

Proc: amd turion x2 ultra zm-82

    chipset: nvidia mcp77

    vga: nvidia gt130m

    ram: 2gb a-data 6400

    hd: WD 320gb

    sound: realtek hd audio alc888

i update bios, all drivers, and windows itself to latest date (i use driver from hardware manufacturer, cos the MSi driver is outdated on vga, chipset and sound section)

it is run perfectly...until i decided to add 2gb more memory with the same type.

And reinstall it with win 7 x64. i "forced" to use driver from hardware manufacturer again, cause of MSi doesn't provide 64bit driver on chipset, vga, soundcard.

instaling....and succeded. update it, then install all drivers.

all working properly, except when it goes to sleep, it just resume with blank screen..!!!

power indicator on, hd led on and blinking, but not for the LCD. I wait for 3hours, but it still blank..

the only solution is to force it to shutdown...

i've look around for the solution, but didn't found it yet...

for the info, i used this driver:

    - nvidia notebook driver 258.96 x64bit

    - nvidia nforce 750i SLI driver, or nforce v15.51 x64 driver (cos i can't find mcp77 driver on nvidia site, i used that driver)

    - realtek hd audio v2.52 x64

    - the rest is MSi updated driver

    Any solution from u guys????

I heard that nvidia driver is conflicted with windows 7, is that true???

i'm very frustated with this problem. I never bother with this sleep problem when I use PC, but on notebook, Iam (really) need this feature...

    Thank You...
