Contacts autocomplete between two federated sites RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi!

I have two sites federated between them - one with Lync 2010 and other with Skype for Business 2015.

Messages, files transfers and conferences works fine between sites.

The client wants to have contacts auto copmplete when searching contacts in skype. Auto complete works fine inside each site.

Is it possible? If yes, how can it be achieved? I couldn't find anything about that on the web.

    Thanks a lot

  • Hi Igor.Le,

Based on my research, it cannot be achieved, this feature just be applied in your domain, it can not be used in federation.

  • Agree with Leon.. This is because the Lync/skype servers doesn't have contact information of federated partner's in its database and this is how it is designed..

  • Thank you, your answer saved us a lot of time.

It seems that the only way to achieve similar effect is to create "contacts" in AD for users from federated domain.
