Bad network path when trying to connect a CE machine to 2008 server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to connect a windows ce machine to windows 2008 server using \\srvrname\etc\etc. I can ping the 2008 server from CE but when I try to navigate to it this way, I get a "bad network path" error. I am able to connect to other servers running 2003 server from the CE box.

  • Hi,

You might want to check if the DNS is being hardcoded on the host file ?

click start > run > type drivers > etc > host > open with word pad and add value of 192.xxx.xx.xxx -- hostname of the server.
