Regarding Employee id and Manager name not appearing in user information list RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I've got a separate SSP created for one of the web applications and whenever I browse to the user information list of the site, all I see is Name, Title and Department. Is there a way to make Employee id and Manager Name display? This is SharePoint 2007.

  • No, the user information list is a hidden internal list used by the site collection and I do not believe it is supported to make any modifications to that list. I would suggest looking into User Profiles. If you make sure you are importing the employee ID and Manager Name fields from AD into your user profiles, you should be able to set up a BDC connection to them and expose that info in a list.
