How to make param{} enable in mobile reporting? RRS feed

  • Could you give an example for a dataset with parameter that can be used in mobile reporting ssrs 2016 with param{} enabled? I have tried many different way without luck, param{} greyed out always.

  • Hi MinYR,

    To make parameters available in a mobile report, you need to add a shared dataset with at least one parameter. And don’t forget to set default value for dataset parameter. Otherwise, when adding dataset to mobile report, it will fail and point to that the parameter needs to be set by default.

    After creating this dataset and binding it to mobile report, you can modify the value of parameter by clicking param{} as you mentioned.

    By the way, if you choose excel as data source to load data, it is not supported to set parameters right now.
