Restrect ftp session in server 2008 RRS feed

  • Please help me to guide, actually i want to restrect ftp session in server 2008, Means at a time only one user can connect to ftp server , if any other machine try to connect with same user can not connect.

  • To my knowledge there is not a way to achieve this out of the box with
    the FTP server that comes with IIS. You can create a maximum number of
    sessions using IIS (using the connection limits for IIS), but this does
    not take into account authenticated/not authenticated... meaning that if
    you implement a session limit of 1, someone would just need to keep
    trying to connect to perform a denial of service.

  • Can you clarify what you are trying to achieve? It seems that you want
    to only authorize one user in IIS manager for the site and set up IP
    restrictions to only allow a single IP.

  • I have one user abc for ftp, i want if this user have session one a machine other session can not establish form any machine with this user (abc) at same time.

  • Thanks, currently i'm using same way because i have a single user in FTP.
