Windows Vista Hardware Performance RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello,

I have been running Windows Vista since the day it was released on the New Zealand Market.
    First I ran this on a Laptop - 2GHx x64 with 1.5GB RAM

I now run Vista Ultimate on an AMD x64 GP-9500 Quad Core with 8GB DDR2 800.

Although I have liked Vista from the start I have always had issues with the performance.
I still get lag and slow responces.

After dozens of Reinstalls and tuning I still cannot get this running powerfully.

If Vista cannot run properly on a 2.2GHz Quad Core Phenom supported by an AM2+ Chipset and 8GB RAM then what is this actually designed to run on?
It lags on top of the line desktops and top of the line servers.

    Love to hear your comments
