UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP -problwm continues RRS feed

  • Question

  • I recently installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.  Like many other folks, I have been dealing with the BSOD/Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap issue, ignoring it, hoping that updates would resolve the issue.  I still have the issue, in fact, I can generate the problem.  I have a folder on my C drive that I had used to save downloads to.  Whenever I try to use any application, including file explorer, it immediately generates the BSOD.  Every Time!!

I had hoped to be able to delete the folder but when I try to select it, bang, BSOD!

    Anyone have a "Fix"?

Since I can generate it at will, I would like to work with Microsoft to support getting this thing FIXED!

Any and all comments encouraged and appreciated.
