Windows 7 do not always remember dialog box sizes RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi
Regarding Windows 7 RTM, I was so happy when I learnt that all dialog boxes (open, save as...etc) in all applications that are at least support windows 7 can be re sized by double clicking their title bar (a feature which XP does not have) but unfortunately I discovered lately that my sizes do not always persist after some days and they return back to the useless very small size way up in the upper right hand corner of my screen and this even happens  even with any of the apps of Office 2007 which is a Microsoft product!! so how can i make my dialog boxes be remembered for ever?

  • Hi magoood, if you want to key the size of an application, for example, Windows Explorer, you can try hold Shift key and close the window. The size and location on the screen should be saved.
