How to add a list of printers to a single GPO using PowerShell RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have been searching for this for days with no joy.  I have a list of several printers that I want to set as "Deployed".  It is very easy to do using the GPO manager, right-click on the specific GPO, select Edit, that opens the Group Policy Management Editor for the GPO, expand Computer Configuration > Polices > Windows Settings > Deployed Printers... right-click on Deployed Printers and select "Deploy Printer", which opens the Deploy Printer(s) dialog box, from there you can type in \\server\printername and click Add to insert it into the "Deploy these printers to this Group Policy Object" pane.  Then click OK.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to find how this could be accomplished using a PowerShell script.  Maybe this can't be done and I just need to sit down with my list of printers and use the GUI?  Thanks in advance for helping me out with this, it is greatly appreciated.
