Editing projects and sub-projects in PWA - Is this possible with PWA in PS 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello all,

It is not possible to edit a project having sub-projects using PWA in Project Server 2010.  Is this now possible in Project Server 2013?

    Thanks,

    Ben

  • Hi Benoit,

In PWA 2013, sub-projects still cannot be added to a master project, but can be edited separately from master projects. The master project cannot be edited in PWA.

    Hope this helps,

  • By the way, if sub-projects is 'read only' to master project, can it be edit in PWA?

  • As per our replies, yes, you can edit sub-projects in PWA, but separately, meaning you cannot open a master plan with severals sub projects and edit them at once in PWA.

    Hope this helps,

  • True but what if the master project has tasks of it's own? You cannot edit that in PWA.

Another issue I face is that I cannot close this tasks for update 'Locked Tasks' if they are timesheeted. This can only be done through PWA.

I am currently using the publish ='No' function as a work around. Can we use this, if yes, then why have locked tasks?
