Custom report of the project calendar setting for each project in Project Server 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a custom company calendar defined in Project Server 2010.  I want to set up a QA report to show the project calendar setting for every project in Project Server 2010.  I can't find a column in the database for the project calendar.  How can I do this?

  • Hi Walter--

Project server reporting database doesn't contain the cal info . The only supported way to use the PSI to read the cal info from Published database.

just for the information, Project server published database table [MSP_CALENDARS] which contains all the CALENDARS information at project. It can be joined on [MSP_PROJECTS] table to get the CAL_UID but "NOT SUPPORTED".

Developers are strongly discouraged from directly accessing the Draft, Published, or Archive Project Server database through Microsoft SQL Server queries. Making direct changes in the Project Server database tables can damage referential integrity and interfere with database access through the Project Server Queuing Service.

This information is visible only through the calendar Web service:

rom Projectdataset, project table row, You can read the
enterprise base calendar for the project.

    Hope that helps.

  • This isn't quite what you want, but it might take you someway there at least - you could write a macro to run the base calendar report for each project.
