  • Hi Erimi,

    Did you get any error message or event log? You can post it here to let us know more about this issue.

    Also you can refer to this KB article and apply the hotfix to see if this could solve your problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943337.

    Thanks & Regards,

  • hi,

    You didn't mention any error or no information of if the pdf's are displayed with icon or not:

    Follow these steps to edit PDF:

    On all Sharepoint WFE;s go to

    Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\12\TEMPLATE\XML

    Open DOCICON.xml ( keep a backup copy) , add the below tag under  <ByExtension> tag.

    <Mapping Key="pdf" Value="pdficon.gif" EditText="Adobe Acrobat" OpenControl="SharePoint.OpenDocuments"/>

    The above OpenControl association works if you have office 2007 or office 2007 components installed on your client. of course you must have adobe acrobat to edit.

    If you are using office 2003 on the clients, then download sharepint designer 2007 ( its free )and click custom setup and only install office 2007 components.

    To open PDF's you can try steps mentioned by Peng Lei.
