Windows 7 - BSOD Stop Code. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

One of my companies clients have complained that their machine keeps getting the Blue screen of death.

We changed the settings so that we could see the stop error codes and wrote the debugging information into a small memory dump.

    "RDR FILE SYSTEM

    STOP:0X00000027 (0XBAAD0073, 0X9971B3D8, 0X9971AFB0, 0X90B7C2B3)
    CSC.SYS-ADDRESS 90B7C2D3 BASE AT 90B78000, DATE STAMP 4A5BBFFC"

The above is what appears on the screen.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated ASAP.

Thank you in advance of your replies,

    Adam

  • Try this hotfix:

"0x00000027" Stop error when you try to log on a client computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/981109 , click on View and request hotfix downloads , select the platform (x86 or x64) and type in your email twice and type in the captcha ad click request hotfix.

After 1 minute you have an email with the link to download an exe. Use the password which is included inside the email to extract the update.

Install the update and reboot. Is it fixed now?

  • Hi Mike, I have taken the .dmp file off the client machine however it is somehow 324Mb!? My colleague said he set it to a Small Memory Dump of 128K so not entirely sure as to how that has happened. If it hasn't overwritten it each time an error occurs, that would mean there have been around 2500 errors! Skydrive has a limit of 50Mb per file. Not sure what you would want me to do now? Thanks, Adam

  • Hi Here is more information to help you out with your stop error

    Bug Check 0x27: RDR_FILE_SYSTEM

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff557446(v=VS.85).aspx

The following actions might prevent an error like this from happening again:

    1. Download and install updates and device drivers for your computer from Windows Update.
    2. Scan your computer for computer viruses.
    3. Check your hard disk for errors. (help to do this can be found here http://www.mypchealth.co.uk/GuideTests.php)

  • We are on a closed system and have no Microsoft download capabilities. Is there a registry fix or a modification that can correct this? Thank you. Regards, TSgt David Blakley TRUHIGHLANDER
