Software Query not returning results RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

Today my colleague and I noticed that the following reports do not return any results.

Software 06A - Search for installed software

Software 02D - Computers with a specific software product

We were trying to find a product called LanSchool in a specific collection and no results were returned. We even tried to do a query for notepad and nothing was returned as well. AI in SCCM so enabled.

Any assistance would be great as we do not understand why we are getting no results.

  • Report 6a by default will only give you the top 100 applications within your environment. You can use part of the product name to reduce the data set that should work. Notepad is part of the OS and will not show up as an installed application.

  • When did you enable AI? AI information is returned by hardware inventory so if you just recently enabled it, the information may not have been collected yet.

Also, which AI classes did you enable?

  • I enabled AI last night just before I posted here, and all the options are checked in AI is this wrong?.

I was looking for LanSchool, so in the name of the product I put Lan, and no results were found.

  • Yes Jason I tried "Lan%"

You were right once I turned on the AI it just needed sometime to populate. This morning I did a query and got results. I noticed it only reports results from the pc's that are on.
