exchange 2010 remove -activesync device cannot find device RRS feed

  • Question

  • i tried usign the EMC first and choosing remove mobile partnership and it says, "The ActiveSyncDevice cic.scic.com/Computer users/MIS/Kirk Hill/ExchangeActiveSyncDevices/Android§4131303030303044393846303245 cannot be found."  I then tried using the EMS and put in the command

    Remove-ActiveSyncDevice -Identity cic.scic.com/admin/Kirk Hill/ExchangeActiveSyncDevices/TestActiveSyncConnectivity§347331244

and it gave the same thing.  What is the issue here?  Thanks

  • Hi,
The issue might very well be that Kirk Hills account is not locatated in any of the two OUs:

    • cic.scic.com/Computer users/MIS
    • cic.scic.com/admin

If that is the case, then its not possible to remove the partnership in an easy way.
As a workaround, move his account OU=MIS and remove his Android Partnership and then to the OU=Admin.

If that doesn't work, then you'll need to remove it from ADUC. You will see the partnership if you put the view "User, Contacts and Groups and Computers as containers" on.
...and when done, use MFCMapi to remove the entries from the mailbox.
See the instructions on how to do that here

  • Try this.

Please try to locate device ID entry in question using MFCMAPI as following:

1, Please change Outlook profile to Online mode first

2, Launch MFCMapi->Session->Logon->choose the online outlook profile

3, Double click to open the user's maibox

    4, Expand Root Container

    5, Expand ExchangeSyncData container

6, Locate the old device ID entry in question, right-click on it and choose Delete Folder
