Outlook user password pop-up RRS feed

  • Dear Team,

    We have cross forest scenario in which when we try connecting outlook from trusting  forest to trusted forest exchange server. Outlook keep on popping password. please help.

    Any further update here? The password prompting issue could be caused due to several reasons, it would be helpful if you could provide more detailed info as required before to help narrow down the issue.

    Before going further, I'd like to clarify the following questions:

    What Exchange version and CU level are you on? 

    By "Outlook keep on popping password", do you mean Outlook keeps prompting for password upon starting and prevents you from connecting to Exchange, or Outlook prompts for password only once and each time you restart Outlook?

    How many mailboxes are affected? What's the type of the affected mailboxes? Are they linked mailboxes or user mailboxes?

    Besides, you may run the connectivity test via ExRCA and share the test result with us by saving it as .html file. You can send the file to ibsofc@microsoft.com. (Please include the thread URL in the message so that we can easily identify your message)

  • We are using Exchange 2016 CU9 and also i shared output of Exrca on email id.

    Besides, we've received the RCATestResult.xml file you shared and will try to analyze on it. However, it would be great if you could share the ExRCA result in .html format, this format makes it easy to read and analyze. Thank you for the understanding and support.
