  • Question

  • Hi,

We are in the process of SCSM 2012 Self Service Portal Configuration, and we are unable to fetch the Request offering and other templates from SCSM Console to Self Service Portal.

Any Suggestion would be really greatfull.

    Thanks.

  • Hey

It seems that you want to have the complete experience of the MMC console in the Portal? This is not possible. The Portal is used to offer specific requests to CONSUMERS where as the console is fully featured for ANALYSTS. The Portal does not allow the creation of new incidents the same way as ist possible in the console. You must buils a request offering to create new incidents and attach an incident template behind it. then define what Information you want to collect and save it appropriate fields on the incident.

    regards

  • Hey

Does that mean that you cannot see your offerings?

    - Did you set the value from "draft" to "published"?
    - Did you assign your Request Offering to a Service Offering? Otherwise you will only see it in the list view on the Portal landing page
    - Did you assign a specific language to your offerings? if so, remove it or set the correct language
    - Did you restrict Access to your offerings by using catalog Groups/User Roles?

    regards
    Marcel

  • Thanks for your reply Marcel,

For creating a New Request in Self Service Portal i need the form view as in (Work Item> Incident Management>Create Incident).

It will be good if i there is any option to publish the default templates available in SCSM2012.

     - And yes changed the value from draft to published .

     - Added Request offering to new service offering and published the same, but dint find any changes in my portal.

    Regards,

    Harini
