Could not update password with ADFS 3.0 RRS feed

  • Hi team,

    I deployed ADFS 3.0 for SSO with Office 365. After that, I enable Update Password Endpoint on ADFS 3.0 to allow end-users can update their password. But I get message "That user id or password is incorrect", I make sure both username and password are correct. When check on event viewer, I get error "UserNotFound". Please help me

  • First thing, make sure you have the following update deployed: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3045711

    Then, do you have this message only on the password change page? Or do you have it also for the regular login page?

    What format do you type? DOMAIN\USER or USER@DOMAIN? Or it doesn't matter?

  • Hi Pierre,

    All necessary update were deployed and that error occurs only on update password page. When login, I tried both of domain\user and user@domain but nothing better.

  • Strange indeed. Can you enable ADFS Tracing in the eventvwr, repro and disable it. And tell us what you see there? Maybe we have some connectivity issue with some DCs.
