How to turn off "Public Folder Sharing" using group policy

    Question

  • Hi!

I want to turn off "Public Folder Sharing" feature using group policy in order to be sure that every computer in the domain have this feature off.

Does anybody knows if that is possible?

    Thanks in advance

  • Public folder sharing is turned off by default (except on a homegroup).

I know, but may be in some situation local administrators can turn it on, and in some secure environments domain administrators want to force that feature to be off all the time in any situation.

Then don't make them administrators, because...

...you cannot enforce any setting on administrators - they will always
be able to get rid of it.
