Vistual Studio Code ( VS Code ) will not accept update on Windows 7 IT Pro RRS feed

  • Question

  • VS Code correctly announces update 1.24.1 is available. I click the Install Update button. Then I receive prompt to Restart Visual Studio Code to apply the latest update. After I restart VS Code, the update has not been applied, and I am again notified the 1.24.1 update is available. What gives here?

    My VS Code identifiables:

    Version 1.23.1
    Commit d0182c3417d225529c6d5ad24b7572815d0de9ac
    Date 2018-05-10T17:11:17.614Z
    Shell 1.7.12
    Renderer 58.0.3029.110
    Node 7.9.0
    Architecture x64

    Thanks in adavance,

    Sam Dawisha

  • Hi,

I suggest that you could try to disable the security software to check.

Or run unins000.exe in C:\Program Files\Microsoft VS Code, and then download and run the installer for the latest version of VSCode.

For the VS issue, you’d better post the issue in VS forum. It’s a right place you could get more help.

Hope it will be helpful to you
