Failed import Updates

Hi,

Please support, Iam trying to import updates I have folder updates and copy to wsuscontent folder in WSUS server.

when I inter comment line wsusulit.exe import export.xml.gz export.log

It is showing error:

fatal error: the gzip stream can not contain more than 4GB data.

Hi Mii77,

Thanks for your posting on this forum.

What is your Server version? If the WSUS role has been installed on the Windows Server 2008R2, please refer to the following steps to solve this issue:

Step1: Install .Net 4 on the WSUS server:

Step2: Create a file named wsusutil.exe.config under "C:\Program Files\Update Services\Tools" folder.

Step3: Copy the following code in to the file

********<configuration><startup><supportedRuntime version="v4.0.30319"/></startup></configuration>********
Step4: Then run the export and it will complete the size that bigger than 4GB.
Once the export is done, remove the wsusutil.exe.config file.
