  • thanx Hrishid for your replay,

its fine now i found the Solution for my issue, i change the value for registry key

for whom face the same issue

open run and write in it regedit and then press ok then go to this path

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office Server\14.0\Search\Global\Gathering Manager\UserAgent

u may need to take a backup for the default value in it then change it to

    Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.3; .NET4.0C; MS-RTC LM 8; Tablet PC 2.0)

then restart your PC and then run the crawl and evey thing will be fine :)

  • I did this and I am now able to find information in the project Site.

Is it possible to search directly in the project? Like if a project is Named ProjectABC, it will return you the schedule/Project information we page?

    Thanks

  • The SharePoint Search Service is not linked to the Project/Resource Information. You will need to set this up. Slighlty complex.
