Software Center : create category for applications

Hello,

I have an answer about the SCCM 2012 client configuration : I deploy applications to computers and not by users. I have read in this forum there is not possible to use Software Web Catalog when you target computers, is it true ?

In this case, is it possible to create Categories in Software Center on the client ?

No, it's not possible out-of-the-box. Why no deploy software to Users?

Hi,

Application Catalog can only be used when you target users, that is correct. Categories are only used in the Application Catalog and not in Software Center...

In SCCM Current Branch we can see User Categories in the New Software Center.
