Report Builder url unable to open RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I configured database in SharePoint integrated mode using Reporting Services Configuration Manager.  i'm trying to open Report manager url (http://<servername>:80/Reports) getting below error.

    "This operation is not supported on a report server that is configured to run in SharePoint integrated mode. (rsOperationNotSupportedSharePointMode)"

    Any body having experienced with this issue, please share...

  • Hi Dinesh,

    I got alternate solution. Visual Studio 2010 doesn't support BIDS. So we need to install Sequal Server Data Tools (SSDT) for Visual Studio 2010. SSDT can be freely download. It has all BIDS features. So that we can design reports and upload them into Sharepoint site.

  • Hi Chandra,

    This seems to be by design in all SSRS versions If you setup the report server in SharePoint Integrated mode. You can't manage SSRS from the normal "Report Server" web interface. All reports / configs are managed from within SharePoint itself. We have to use the SharePoint site to view or manage reports.

    In order to create a report item in the SharePoint site, please upload a report(.rdl) to a SharePoint library, which is same to uploading a document to a SharePoint library. Please note, SharePoint library must be Report Server content type enabled.

    Additionally, we can design the reports in Business Intelligence Development Studio(BIDS), and then publish the reports to a SharePoint library from the BIDS directly.

    Thank you. I need to design Reports using Report Designer.

    I'm getting as Visual Studio 2010 does not support BIDS.

    My log file shows below...

A connection to the database is required for all requests and processing. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Cannot open database "ReportServer2" requested by the login. The login failed.

    Login failed for user 'SP\chandra'.

Please exclude these properties from your request and then try again.;
