MDT 8450 - BSOD when imaging from x86 boot image. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Using MDT solely with LTI.  I recently upgraded from 8330 w/ ADK 1706 to 8450 with ADK 1709.  Task sequences function fine when imaging from the x64 boot image, but that obviously prevents me from deploying x86 images.  When booting to the x86 boot image I get a BSOD when the task sequence is installing the OS image.  It appears to be right at the end of the initial image copy, just before it runs dism to apply the unattend.  The BSOD actually states IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL which tends to indicate a driver issue, but it's making it part way through the sequence and copying drivers plus most/all of the image so i'm not sure why it would suddenly fail at that point in the sequence.  Boot images are set to only load network and storage drivers, and those are solely from the vendor's WinPE driver packs.  Even updated the WinPE driver packs to no avail.  Thoughts?
