Moving SP2010 to a new Domain on SP2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Re-created the USPA on the "old" Db's - problem are that all profiles in there have the olddomain≤user -

    I've already done the move-spusers - ran the sync timer job

    Why aren't the old domain changed in the UPSA ?

  • Hi JmATK,

    After your re-created the User Profile Service Application, please make sure you have created a User profile sync connection to the new AD.

    Please run the following cmdlets:

    Add-PSSnapin Microsoft.SharePoint.PowerShell
    $users = get-SPUser -web “https://webapplication/sites/sitecollection“
    foreach ($oldUser in $users)
    {
    $oldUserSTR = $oldUser.userlogin
    $newUser = $oldUserSTR.replace(“oldDomain“, “newDomain“)
    move-SPUser -Identity $oldUser -NewAlias $newUser -IgnoreSID
    }

    After the above, run a full user profile sync again.

    Thanks,

    Wendy
