Same MOSS Public Hostname on HTTP and HTTPS trunk? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Can we have the following configuration on UAG?

    1st Trunk: HTTP

    • Trunk public hostname: uag1.company.com
    • Unique trunk IP address (eg 192.168.1.1)
    • Anonymous access
    • Publish a "Sharepoint 2007" application with public hostname & host header set to www.company.com
    • Application web address: FQDN of MOSS server MOSS.internal.company.com
    • Path: /

    2nd Trunk: HTTPS

    • Trunk public hostname: uag2.company.com
    • Unique trunk IP address (eg 192.168.1.2)
    • Authenticated access
    • Publish a "Sharepoint 2007" application with public hostname & host header set to www.company.com
    • Application web address: FQDN of MOSS server MOSS.internal.company.com
    • Path: /

So basically, one trunk listens on TCP:80 and the other on TCP:443...everything else is configured identically.

    Thanks

  • I'm afraid that is not possible. You need to have a seperate public URL for the Sharepoint (for example, on 1st trunk. SPS.company.com, and on the 2nd, sharepoint.company.com)
