Find out who deleted Site Admin on WSS 3.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a WSS 3.0 environment and we have 3 Site Administrators for our site.

Some one has deleted one of the Site administrators. We want to find out who has done this and on which date.

Can someone help me in this regard?

    Thanks

  • There is no out of the box solution is available in WSS 3.0, you need to have a event receiver for the site delete action to find who deletes the site.
Try using SPChange class to get all the changes happened in a site, Refer to the following link
Also refer to the following blog, not sure if it is for WSS or MOSS

  • Hi,

We currently have WSS 3.0 not MOSS 2007. The Audit option given in the first link is not available in WSS3.

  • Hi Sweta,

site collection admins / Farm admins can delete site admins.

You can check with site audit log reports to find the exact name.

Enable Reporting feature from Site Action > Site Settings > Site Collection Administration > Site collection Features

  • Hi,

Where can I find 'Site audit log reports'?

In Site Action > Site Settings > Site Collection Administration > Site collection Features

Report Server Integration Feature is already 'Active'.

    Thanks

  • Hi Sweta,

It should be under Site Action > Site Settings > Site Collection Administration > Audit Log reports

  • Hi,

Thanks for the link. One doubt though,If I do download the free trial version of the product,I believe it will only capture the future events.

Will I be able to capture the UserId of the person whoc has already deleted the other id?

    Thanks
