  • Hi,

I understand that there was no pool by name of “560aeb37d7a44424a2f44b29f02351d4”.

The “560aeb37d7a44424a2f44b29f02351d4” is the Alias of the Application.

You need to open IIS Manager,   access the "Site" section, then select the “SharePoint Web Services” section, then you can find ““560aeb37d7a44424a2f44b29f02351d4”.

I recommend to make sure you have permission to access the “SearchService.svc”. You can click “Edit Permissions” in the right side to check permission.

In addition, please click “Basic Setting” to find the corresponding Application pool, and then disable 32-bit support for the application pool.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Linda Li

  • Hi,

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to solve the problem that the SearchService.svc cannot be activated due to an exception during compilation.

This problem can occur if the application pool for “560aeb37d7a44424a2f44b29f02351d4”is set to use 32-bit support in IIS. When the “560aeb37d7a44424a2f44b29f02351d4” utilizes the 32-bit code path, the connection cannot be activated.

This problem can be resolved by disabling 32-bit support for the “560aeb37d7a44424a2f44b29f02351d4” application pool.

You can follow the steps as below:

    1.        Open IIS Manager from the SharePoint Front End Server.
    2.        Access the "Application Pools" section.
    3.        Right click the “560aeb37d7a44424a2f44b29f02351d4” and choose "Advanced Settings".
    4.        Change "Enable 32-Bit Applications" to False.
    5.        Save the changes and close the advanced settings.
    6.        Reset IIS with by running "IISRESET" from an administrative command prompt.

If the issue still exists, I recommend you to reboot the server to check whether it works.
