What is the user experience of the Win 10 1511 > 1607 upgrade? RRS feed

    Hello,

    If a users computer needs the 1607 upgrade what sort of update/upgrade experience will it be?  What I mean is will it take some time and need any interaction or just like a normal silence update like we normally do?

    We have a lot of Windows 10 PCs on 1511 and they just get the 1511 cumulative updates, is it ok for them to stay on this version and just get the updates for that version?

    Hi TB303,

    Upgrades like common updates, only when the WSUS server admin approve the upgrade, can WSUS clients detect and download the upgrade file, so we don't need to worry about the WSUS clients upgrading to 1607 silently from WSUS server. It will under admins' control;

    It's OK to stay on 1511, while it's recommended to upgrade to 1607 for better service (and it's win10 1703 times).
