AD RMS - User authentication RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

After upgrading to a Win2012r2 installation of RMS and changing the Internal and External URL's to be the same to hide host-namesof machines (DNS Record in place to avoid going to the outside world)
Each time a new user obtains a CLC it asks for user credentials; this never happened in my 2008r2 build and would automatically authenticate the user with their domain credentials.

I'm unsure on why this has happened, is it due to the fact it is trying to authenticate with a URL that is 'Non-domain' specific?

In addition, when they authenticate (after entering credentials), we get errors mentioning that it 'cannot verify user information at this time...' with the option to change user, after pressing change user and pressing 'ok' on the newly added cred's it goes through fine (Provided that the 'Always use this credential' is checked).
I'm assuming that it is trying to authenticate with domain credentials, but cannot seem to obtain information?

This has baffled me for several days now, any ideas?

    Regards,
    Dave
