Since you've removed the latest browser's version, I suggest you to check the Windows "Application" log in the Event Viewer to see if there's still any record related to the problems occurred when you were using a most recent version of Internet Explorer;
this can be useful to understand what was wrong and how you could fix any problem if you decide to update your broswer again.
