SharePoint 2007 stsadm export - fatal error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

today I tried to backup my SiteCollection with the help of SharePoint Content Deployment wizard, and it failed. Then I tried to do it myself with stsadm (maybe the wizard wasn't working right), but with the same result > fatal error.

I started the wizard from the server where the central administration is installed (=server3) and tried to export a sitecollection from a frontend server (=server1).

    So here ist the log:

    On server1 I found the path and "missing" file under \\server1\c$\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\FEATURES\Bamboo.FileShareLibrary\feature.xml

On server3 was no directory Bamboo.FileShareLibrary. But it should export from the frontend server right?

    Logs couldn't give me a hint. SERVER1-20110517-1009.log:

Any ideas where the problem could be?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Philipp,

are you using any Bamboo Files on site collection which you are trying to export ?

Make sure the custom feature is installed and exist.

Error says it is finding custom feature installed by Bamboo file

  • It looks to me that bamboo was not properly installed, or maybe a new server was added to the farm or something.

I would first try running stsadm directly on the web front end (where those files are located).  That might solve it.

If you can't do that, you could try copying the Bamboo.FileShareLibrary directory to the application server.
