SSIS Connection manager RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to create a Dynamic Oracle connection string for my SSIS package .. I am on 2014.

    for this I have created a ConnectionString Variable 'Var_Ora_Conn1'. I have set the expression as
    Data Source=OraSource1;User ID=xxx_user;Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle.1;

    I create a new OLEDB connection in tha connection manager and want to set its expression as Var_Ora_Conn1 and click on evaluate, the 'evaluated value' box is blank. I am not able to evaluate.

    Please let me know if I am missing anything.

  • This usually happens when one of the variable used in the expression is NULL. Try to remove few parts in your expression and check when it is going NULL.

    Try 1. "Data Source=OraSource1;User ID=xxx_user"

    Try 2. "User ID=xxx_user;Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle.1;"

    Try 3. "Data Source=OraSource1;User ID=xxx_user;Provider=OraOLEDB.Oracle.1;"
