My data (D:) is always full no matter what I delete, what can I do? RRS feed

  •  I can't find the reason I got no more GB left, I only got a couple of pictures, one movie and 6 books on this laptop. It's an Asus With Windows 7.

    OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers)... configure the disks of consumer PC's and laptops with a D partition that is usually has just 20Gb configured. Much of that 20Gb is taken up by the OS backup (replacing the 'Windows' CD) and 'freeware' that the OEM's push with their hardware.

    Do not use the D drive to store your files on. You need it in case you need to do a system restore.

    Post consumer questions about windows and/or IE to http://answers.microsoft.com (Help>Online Support menu from IE). Include with your questions about IE the full address of any websites you are having issues with.
