Application freezes on startup RRS feed

  • Question

  • Starting BDS.exe. App hangs after splash screen. I suspect registry or TCPIP problems. I hope this can be fixed without a complete disk replacement. The problem could be linked to a Windows update.

  • I have found out how to do that with MSConfig and I will try it.

Unfortunately Windows hangs on shutdown and I am reluctant to shut down and use the power-off !

    Thank you.

  • Hi,

App freeze is usually caused by compatibility issues. We suggest checking if the device is compatible with Windows 10 update. If the device is compatible, you may try to start computer in safe mode. This will start Windows using a limited set of files and drivers. This is performed to check if device drivers aren't causing the issue.

  • The problem was caused by a faulty external disk or its driver. Removing the disk and placing it in the trash can has solved the problem. So far everything is back to normal.

    Thanks for the replies.
