Nvidia Go 7900 GTX RRS feed

  • Question

  • I cannot install my laptop graphics card with Vista. It only recognises the card as an 8bit standard VGA card with 256mb ram, and uses the following driver file version, 6.0.5384.4 (winmain_beta2.060518-1455), C:\windows\system32\drivers\vgapnp.sys. Max resolution 1450 x 1050 x 16bit, the screen native display is 1680 x 1050 x 32 bit

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the card but it makes no difference, Vista still does not recognise it.

When trying to install the latest Nvidia divers this only runs part on the install routine and then states that I'm not running Vista and cancels the install

    Intel t2500 CPU

    2gb memory

    100 gb Sata HD

    80gb Pata HD

Everything else is installed and working, except for Usb 2.0 mass storage, but I'm not too worried abot that at the moment

Running a dual boot system with Windows XP on the Sata drive and Vista on the Pata drive.

    Anybody any ideas?

    Thanks in advance
