ADFS - Configuration

Question
-
We have ADFS configuration between the customer's datacenter and the service provider datacenter. The features realted to Autodiscover and password synchronization are not available in this setup,
Can you please advise how we can offer these features for password sync from on-premises to on-premises deployment? I am ot willing to consider the Azure AD connect as the prerequisites for this solution are not available.
Thanks...

Hi,
What's the meaning of "I am ot willing to consider the Azure AD connect as the prerequisites for this solution are not available"?
Deploy ADFS With Office 365 and On-premise Exchange, we can deploy SSO with Azure AD. For your reference:
Step-By-Step: Setting up AD FS and Enabling Single Sign-On to Office 365
Moreover, there're three sign-in model for Office 365: Cloud Identity, Synchronized Identity and Federated Identity.
More information, refer to: Choosing a sign-in model for Office 365

You mean the free/busy sharing between two Exchange organization, and how authentication works?
Yes, we need federation trust if we use the Azure Active Directory authentication system to build trust relationship, then share calendar free/busy information. Also, we can deploy forest and domain level trust, then share free/busy information.Best Regards,

Hello,
In case we don't have Office 365 involved, how does the authentication work between customer's on-premise Excahnge and service provider's datacenter (the service provider is hosting the customer's emails at his datacenter).
thanks...
