Renaming a file into multiple different names RRS feed

  • Hi,

    I'll simplify question, I have one file that needs to be renamed and copied into multiple different names. Lets say like that, I have file with name "B-45963.eps" and i have list of names that this file needs to be renamed, file extension stays same. is there any command in powershell or batch in windows 10 that I could use? I am also opened for any other suggestions?

  • You cannot rename a file more than once at a time. What you mean is to copy a file. You can copy or move a file in Powershell and rename it at the same time with Copy-Item or Move-Item. Read the complete help including the examples to learn how to use it.
