Direct Access 2012 not working after changing External IP Address RRS feed

  • Direct Access is not working after changing external ip address. I have applied new settings though DA console and group policy has been updated on clients.

    When running "netsh int https show int" to see the conection status it is  showing "Active"  but unable to reach any resources and have a Red "X" for DA agent.

  • Hi,

    is there a router or Firewall in front of your DA Server?. If yes, the Firewall policy / port forwarding has also been changed to the new IP address of the DA Server? Public DNS A record has also been changed to the new IP address (if a public IP address is used for the DA Server)

  • No firewall in front of server and the external DNS name was populated.  Direct Access is now working though; I had to reconfigure Direct Access settings on server.
