  • Hi,

This issue can be caused by corrupted system files or Windows update components.

If you have any third part security applications, please temporarily disable or even remove it to check the issue first.

Please follow these steps to check the issue:

How do I reset Windows Update components?

Then, let’s repair your system by following command:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

If the issue still persists, please run SFC /SCANNOW in CMD as administrator to see if there is any corrupted files.

If the issue still persists, please upload the event log and the %windir%\windowsupdate.log here for further research.

Please upload them to a file sharing service like Skydrive or "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.

    Collect event log:
