SharePoint Integration with Java RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

We have received a requirement from one of our client. They have Java Based application running; and they want to implement SharePoint portal;  the objective is that whatever application is available in Java they wants to maintain the same and this need to be showed in SharePoint
The client states that they can provide WSDL; but the Java Application has workflows (Leave Approval); Display of Data  (Passing Parameters from SharePoint )

I understand we can consume Java web service in SharePoint and trigger workflow by calling web service and can also display data by consuming java web service.

do we have any good link or example where we have consumed java web service in SharePoint.

    Thanks & Best Regards,

  • As long as the web service is following standards and for example provides a valid wsdl, then any web services example should work. Whether it is created With java, .net or anything else, doesn't matter. SharePoint will be able to consume the service, for example via BCS or by accessing the endpoints directly from code.

    Kind Regards
