MDT 2013 Update 2 Windows 10 0x80240438: Windows Update, search for update Fails RRS feed

  • Question

  • We use a customized wim file and not using our WSUS server.  I have upgraded our server to version Version: 6.3.8330.1000 and I also updated the ADK.  I have been getting the following error during the windows update task.  After the image is deployed, I am able to manually run windows updates.  I have rebuilt my image and reset the windows update Agent.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

  • Can you post the WindowsUpdate.log to some file sharing site like OneDrive and provide the link here?

  • I didn't seen anything that jumped out but, if I was to guess I would say the roots of your issue are probably here:

  • Thank you for the link, we are using the Windows 10 LTSB version, and I suspect you are right.  I wanted to get the update process working to get updated drivers for older hardware.   Luckily not a major problem to manually pull updated drivers.

I am going to update my source wim file more frequently to get updates until the dust settles.

    Thanks again!
