  • Question

  • dears,

im planning to deploy 2 exchange servers in dag mode

each node in one site ( i ahve 2 sites london and norwich but same active directory)

    the main site is london

the databases will be mounted in london site, all mx records and dns will be pointing to the main

my question is once the main went down, all the dbs will be mounted to the dr site norwich.

kindly advise on what has to be done on the mail flow level in order that the users will be able to send/receive in the second site

    best regards,

  • Hi,

What's the detailed version of your Exchange server? Do you have other Exchange servers in your organization?

If you only have two Exchange servers, you may need to change the IP address manually to point to the working server, or use DNS round robin. For DNS round robin, you have to create A record for each Exchange server. You can check this for more information about DNS round robin, you can check: Load balancing options in Exchange Server
